Plot
Dog catches a shark as the Leviathan sails towards Skull Island. To both Irene and Druid's confusion, Annie refuses to go inside as they approach the storm surrounding the island; Dog, meanwhile, hurls the shark's severed head towards Druid. On the island, Kaia leads a party including Charlie and Cap to the ruins of the village, where they recover several bags from a hidden cache. Three Horncrest Chameleons soon find them. Cap shoots one through the head, but the others are undeterred and chase them. One latches onto Cap with its tongue, but Etana severs it with his axe. He and Cap barely escape them by climbing a tree, joining Kaia and Charlie. She reveals that the bags contain medicine.
Irene tries to convince Annie to come inside as the storm rages around Leviathan, Annie exclaiming how alive it makes her feel. Sam and Mike talk Guy out of intervening. As Skull Island comes into view, Annie announces that she's home. She and Dog quickly sense that something is amiss on the island. As the cause of their unease, Yuggoth, emerges from the ground, witch doctors tend to Kong with potent-smelling brews. Kaia plans to evacuate her people to nearby Annie's Island, as they can no longer safely hunt here. A scout returns with news of the Leviathan, which raises Charlie's spirits.
As Annie tries to get Dog to sniff out Charlie, Guy whispers to Mike that he caught Druid speaking to someone on a satellite phone. Before he can share the contents of a crate he discovered, Sam interrupts them, having found a message Charlie left on a shipwreck. Druid's men, impatient to betray Irene's group, prepare to hunt a young hippopotamus-like creature, only for its parent to charge in and eat one of them. Irene warns Druid that the rest of the island is equally dangerous, and he won't last long without the expertise of people who survived it. Venturing into the woods, they're ambushed by a pack of mole monsters. One pins Irene, but Kaia saves her by firing an arrow into its throat. Charlie is with her, asking for a flare to drive off the moles, but they suddenly flee on their own. Annie is impressed that Charlie survived on the island for so long, and he joyously reunites with Mike. Kaia, having climbed a tree, reports that Yuggoth is on the move, planning to draw out Kong by attacking the evacuating islanders with its monster army.
