Many of Mauro Fonseca's early cover proposals recreate various Godzilla posters and Sonic the Hedgehog artwork. Two of them also include Burning Godzilla and Super Godzilla facing off against Super Sonic, though the artist noted that these proposed designs were not in any way reflective of the events within the comic itself and not necessarily expected to be used.[2]
