Plot
Harley Quinn pays a visit to her Monsterverse counterpart, psychologist Dr. Quinzel. Quinn tells Quinzel about the Joker, who she calls "Jay" and describes as both her soulmate and her arch enemy. She asks if she should find and pursue a romance with his equivalent on this Earth, but is interrupted by a call from another Task Force X member. They inform her of Amanda Waller's death and the Justice League's arrival. At hearing that Batman is among them, she prepares to leave, confident that he'll be able to help her find the other Joker.
Lex Luthor calls a truce with Superman in the face of four Great Apes. They land several blows against their Titan opponents as Superman advises Luthor to hold back, to the villain's disgust. One ape swats Luthor to the ground; when Superman comes to his defense, he promptly flies away, leaving the Man of Steel surrounded. One-Eye quickly grabs him, only to relinquish his grip in the face of Superman's freeze breath, which ultimately drives off the entire group. He chides himself for trusting Luthor.
At the Monarch outpost, Flash learns about the organization, which has been studying Titans since the 1940s, and Godzilla, who reawakened in 2014, four years ago, to preserve the balance of nature. Over a dozen more Titans lie dormant around the world. He retrieves Task Force X's data on the Titanized King Shark and their future plans before succumbing to dizziness. Batman affirms that they need reinforcements, but left behind parts for activating the Boom Tube in the arms of his Batwing mech. Flash, despite his injuries, offers to retrieve them, with Batman cautioning him to avoid combat.
Luthor rendezvouses with Lee Shaw inside a massive temple built by Great Apes. They plot to extract the blue energy inside the rocks there. As he nears the mech's arms, Flash hears a message from Mister Terrific on Earth Prime, only to be ambushed by Cheetah. Kong's arrival, however, scares her off. Terrific, Lois Lane, and Green Lantern worry that the mission has gone wrong, and Green Lantern offers to investigate. When Terrific activates the Boom Tube, however, they are startled to find Kong staring back at them.
Task Force X transport a captured Wonder Woman to their base, the former Monarch vessel USS Saratoga, gloating about the ease of their victory. They arrive to find Supergirl waiting for them—and Wonder Woman effortlessly breaks her magical restraints. Peacemaker realizes she only feigned defeat to learn the location of their base, and compliments her before she punches him out. She blocks Captain Boomerang's boomerangs with her bracelets while Supergirl knocks out Enchantress. When the Kryptonian struggles against Giganta and Wonder Wonder narrowly avoids a freezing blast from Captain Cold's gun, the Amazonian suggests they trade opponents. Supergirl promptly disarms Captain Cold with her heat vision while Wonder Woman takes care of Giganta. As they bring down Captain Cold and Captain Boomerang, Black Manta escapes by sea. They enter the ship to find only one Monarch operative aboard, deputy sample archivist Jae Jørgensen, and free her. She shows them a beacon Task Force X has activated to lure Titans to the area. They call Batman and the heroes update each other on their findings. With Luthor advancing to the next stage of the plan, they wonder what became of Superman.
Growing weaker and unable to detect Luthor any longer, Superman resolves to return to the surface. With great strain, he passes through the portal—and finds himself face-to-face with Godzilla on the other side.
