Development
The manga was announced with a trailer that premiered at Godzilla Fest 2024 on November 3, 2024. The trailer was directed, edited, and narrated by Shogo Kiyosu, with male and female voices provided by Yota Mori and Yu Chitose, respectively.[1] Its title card made use of live-action photography; three-dimensional representations of the characters ゴジラ (Gojira) were built by Yusuke Miki and shot by Koichi Inoguchi.[2][1]
On March 3, 2025, the manga's official X account posted an image containing the date May 27, 2025.[3] Five more images with the same date followed: one showing part of a machine on March 17,[4] one showing part of the new Godzilla design on March 24,[5] one showing two human characters on March 31,[6] one showing a drill-nosed ship resembling the Gotengo on April 7,[7] and one showing a monster flying over a city on April 14.[8] This culminated in the reveal of the manga's title and logo on April 21.[9] The account's bio and display name were also updated to confirm May 27 as the series' start date.
Key art for the manga was released on April 27, giving the first full look at Godzilla, along with comments from mangaka Ju Ishiguchi, Godzilla designer Shinji Nishikawa, and space monster designer Hiroshi Maruyama.[10][11]
