While G-Force is on a fool’s errand off the coast of Bermuda, Godzilla’s rampage begins in Atlanta! But... how did Godzilla appear in the middle of the country? And after so much time without a stateside Godzilla attack, why has the King of the Monsters appeared twice in the last few weeks?
G-Force fights a brand-new kaiju, and Godzilla tears through the country, in the third issue of Tim Seeley and Nikola Čižmešija’s ongoing series![1]

Plot
Gridlock on the Atlanta is interrupted by Godzilla, who smashes through a highway. Five hours earlier, G-Force and Captain Carroñero's pirates continue their fight against Yacumama. Dr. Rumi Chiba orders Jacen Braid not to use his powers against the kaiju; as he wonders what to do instead, Nuki and Carroñero come to his defense. Nuki, still upset at Braid's closeness with Chiba, brutally dispatches every roundworm near her while recounting how she never saw any kaiju during her time on the Deadzone border, just diseased, starving people. Commander Riviera laments that every roundworm they kill is one less weapon to use against Godzilla, while Chiba reminds him that they need to survive this battle first if they want a shot at Godzilla. Slicing apart a roundworm with her sword, Rumi observes that Yacumama seem to instinctually fuse together to conserve energy. Incense unleashes a fire blast to incinerate the largest Yacumama, then poses for a selfie with Nuki, failing to notice a smaller creature charging at them from behind. Braid punches it into the sea, while Riviera restrains Carroñero.
In Atlanta, Godzilla dispatches a SWAT team with a flick of its tail before a giant robot, Kai-Killer X, surprises it with a slash of its sword. The man who sold it to the government, Gideon Kelso, promotes his various companies through a loudspeaker until the monster disarms the robot and rips off its arm, revealing the pilot. They beg for mercy, but Godzilla melts most of the robot with atomic breath before returning underground. In Bermuda, Riviera ignores the European Kaiju Defense Force's orders not to dock and rams the cargo ship into a pier. Incense is skeptical of this strategy, but Riviera plans to make peace by offering them the captured pirates. As the team unloads them, Riviera is contacted by Marco Petithomme, who relays that Yacumama are synthetic lifeforms, created by an unknown intelligence at the Upshot–Knothole Test Site in Nevada. Riviera recognizes this as the location of the last major U.S. weapons test before Godzilla emerged—and Godzilla's next destination. He hangs up, however, when Petithomme asks him to advocate for a boost to the Science Division's budget. Riviera shares the news with Chiba, learning seconds later from a British soldier that Godzilla surfaced in Atlanta, only to quickly return underground. He sees this as validation of her theory that Godzilla is using Anguirus's tunnels, while she concludes that battling Yacumama drove Godzilla underground. He resolves to gather more Yacumama at the test site, demanding the use of an aircraft nearby. When the soldiers refuse, citing the way that the U.S. turned its back on the world, he drops the cargo ship's supply of fish on their heads and frees Carroñero, offering him the ship.
Chiba is convinced that Braid can stop Godzilla without needing to kill it, offering to train him. Riviera allows Jet Jaguar to stay with them and departs with Incense and Nuki in the aircraft. Chiba asks Jet Jaguar to go for a swim, and the robot obliges, growing to enormous size, collecting Braid and Chiba in its hands, and diving underwater. As they swim past a pod of whales, Chiba tells Braid she's surprised that he followed her without question, but he replies that he's making the same promise that she did—not to leave her. She shows him footage of the approach Japan developed to fight kaiju after thousands of deaths: her teammates Hikari, Kaori, and Himei bombarded them with light, sound, and pheromone-based attacks, while she struck pressure points with her kogai blade to steer the beasts where she wanted them to go. Because kaiju bodies are so massive, their bodies contain numerous nerve clusters to compensate for the distances their brain impulses have to travel. Braid is fascinated, likening it to acupuncture, and is eager to learn her methods.

Trivia
- In real life, the United States used test sites in Nevada for nuclear testing as part of Operation Upshot–Knothole in 1953; in the comic, however, they are simply described as "weapons test[s]".
- Sukesha Ray and Franck Uzan's Playing Card Variant Cover resembles a Pokémon card. Though the artwork avoids recognizable symbols from the Pokémon Trading Card Game, it effectively portrays Godzilla as a Water-type; his card has a blue background and he is weak against electricity while resisting fire.
