Return to Skull Island #4 is a comic book from Titan Comics and Legendary Comics. It was published on October 15, 2025.[1]

Description

While Kong has been recovering from his last clash, a pestilence has corrupted the island and its many monsters have grown.

Now, in an epic battle between two titans - Kong defends his human allies against Yuggoth. Will Kong keep his crown, or will Skull Island have a new ruler?[2]

Plot

Yuggoth and its monster army go on the warpath as Charlie brings the rest of the group up to speed on its activities. Annie asks how they can stop it, while Irene believes they're hopelessly outmatched and need to evacuate immediately. Charlie is determine to stay and atone for his role in poisoning Kong, starting with warning Etana that the Titan's forces are moving to intercept him. Scoffing at her mother, Annie leaves with Charlie on Dog. Cap recommends that Irene and Kaia check on Kong, while Guy tells Mike that he spotted explosives and other weapons amongst the equipment Druid's men brought ashore. They ask Cap to distract Druid before leaving for the beach with Sam. Druid instantly recognizes him—as "Captain Hernandez".

Charlie is grateful to Annie for returning to the island for him, although she explains that she mostly did it because she found civilization so intolerable. To his dismay, she has no plans to go back. On the beach, Sam and one of his men take advantage of the distraction caused by a Giant Dodo to knock out two of Druid's men. Charlie and Annie reach Etena and warn him of Yuggoth just before the Titan comes into view. His canoes row desperately towards the shore, though one is seized by a Galloping Crocodile. Dog leaps into the water, fighting off two of the reptiles at once. Reaching the waterfall, Irene and Kaia watch in amazement as a rejuvenated Kong emerges.

Yuggoth senses Kong's revival and changes course. Charlie urges his group to return to Cap, sure his dad will have a plan. Cap reaches the end of his bid to stall Druid, touching on his first encounter with a sea monster. Druid departs with his men just as Guy and Mike return with the explosives. Kong confronts Yuggoth, leaping over its army to knock it down with a double kick, then throw it. When Mike and Annie return, Cap explains that they need to lure the Titans to the chasm Kaia previously hung him over, as Sam is preparing a trap there. Annie and Charlie charge towards Kong atop Dog as Yuggoth takes command of the fight. Charlie's taunts cause Kong to chase them. Irene, Sam, and Kaia are still arguing about the particulars of their plan, especially Irene's disinterest in whether Kong lives or dies, when the Titans close in. Kong leaps over the explosives before throwing a punch at Yuggoth. Sam detonates the explosives, breaking off the chunk of ground the monsters are warring on. Yuggoth falls into the chasm, while Kong clings to the edge and climbs back up. The teens celebrate, but Kaia is unmoved, noting that they've only managed to return the Titan to its Hollow Earth home; it will eventually return. She prepares to resume the evacuation of her people.

At dawn, Annie affirms to Charlie that she plans to stay on the island where she grew up, though she hasn't told Irene yet. To Annie's delight, the group reaches the beach to find that Druid has stolen their boat, leaving them stranded.
