Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 #5 is a comic book from DC Comics and Legendary Comics. It was published on November 26, 2025.[1]

Description

King Ghidorah and Rodan join the fight as Godzilla settles an old score with Superman. Foes must unite if the Titan threat is to be overcome. As the battle rages on, Lee Shaw nears the completion of his plans to create his own Titan army.[1]

Plot

Thirty minutes ago: Batman receives word that Lex Luthor and Lee Shaw are planning to advance from phase two to three. As he scans a file on Monarch Outpost 61, he receives a surprise strike from Harley Quinn's hammer. He disarms her after dodging another swing as she says her therapist advised her to ask him for help. He questioning why she would start by attack him; she replies that's just their dynamic. She explains that she wants Batman to find the Joker of the Monsterverse, while also mentioning that Amanda Waller was dead and that Shaw has taken over, shocking him. Meanwhile, Kong climbs to the top of a mountain and roars and beats his chest as King Ghidorah and Rodan fly overhead.

The two winged Titan face off against Godzilla and Superman Primal, along with Wonder Woman, Supergirl, and Green Lantern. Wonder Woman theorizes that Ghidorah is there to challenge Godzilla's rule, while also sensing he seeks to disrupt the natural order rather than protect it. Supergirl believes they only stand a chance if Superman can convince Godzilla to work together. The Man of Steel then charges at Ghidorah and punches two of his heads, prompting Godzilla to use his atomic breath to protect Superman's back from another head, signifying their alliance. Rodan intervenes, grabbing Superman, as Green Lantern forms a giant Ultima-Lantern. He and Godzilla grapple with Ghidorah while Wonder Woman and Supergirl use the Lasso of Truth to pull Rodan off Superman. The flames from his wings sear them, enraging Superman, who decks Rodan. Ghidorah bites Ultima-Lantern's arm, but Godzilla rescues him with a tail-whip.

The Flash watches over Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Enchantress, Giganta, and Captain Cold, now in a holding cell. Captain Cold and Peacemaker explain to Flash that Amanda Waller was killed by Lee Shaw, who forced them to embark on this cross-universe mission. Mister Terrific and Jae Jørgensen monitor the battle outside, with Mister Terrific commenting that while they need more of the Justice League to be Titanized, he may not be able to prepare another dose in time to decide this fight. It is at this moment, when Mister Terrific believes that they are alone in fighting Ghidorah and Rodan, that Jørgensen points to another Titan entering the fight.

All three of Ghidorah's heads fire their gravity beams, knocking Superman away from Rodan and forcing Godzilla back. Rodan dives at Superman, only for Kong to leap at the Titan and grab him by the neck midair, punching him repeatedly before they hit the ground. With Rodan out of the fight, he turns his attention to Ghidorah, flanked by Superman and Ultima-Lantern. In the Hollow Earth, Cheetah and Black Manta report to Lee Shaw and Lex Luthor that they've obtain the energy source for further Titanizing. With most of their allies captured, they're eager to leave, but Luthor cautions them that he'll need time to build a containment unit for the energy. He advises an impatient Shaw to proceed to phase three of his plan in the meantime.

Kong, Superman, and Ultima-Lantern each target one of King Ghidorah's heads, leaving him open to a blast of Godzilla's atomic breath, while Wonder Woman and Supergirl attempt to restrain Rodan. Just as victory seems imminent, Superman reverts back to his normal size. Ghidorah uses his free head to blast Ultima-Lantern away. He takes to the sky, Kong still clinging to him, and fires three gravity beams at the enemies below, electrocuting Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Ultima-Lantern, and hurting Godzilla badly. Rodan seizes Kong as he falls. Mister Terrific intervenes, his T-Spheres detonating against both Ghidorah and Rodan, causing the latter to drop Kong, who plummets into Hollow Earth. Mister Terrific lands at Superman's side with a Titanizing dose, but believes he's arrived too late. Though exhausted, Superman still demands the dose, but Supergirl urges the team to regroup, as both of their Titan allies are out of commission. Godzilla retreats to the water. As King Ghidorah leaves, Mister Terrific sends out some of his T-Spheres to follow him, as both Superman and Supergirl depart for the Hollow Earth to check on Kong and find Luthor.
