Godzilla's Monsterpiece Theatre Presents is an upcoming anthology comic book miniseries from IDW Publishing. A follow-up to Tom Scioli's Godzilla's Monsterpiece Theatre, each oversized installment will see Godzilla invading iconic literary works such as Romeo and Juliet. In addition, each issue will include a five-page backup story by Scioli, which together comprise a larger story called Godzilla Meets Robin Hood and His Merry Band of Outlaws.[1]
The first installment, Romeo & Juliet and Godzilla, is set to be released on April 8, 2026. The series will run for four issues.

Development
The miniseries was first announced on January 15, 2026, on the official Godzilla website.[1] The announcement was accompanied by statements from the creators of the first installment, Sean Peacock and Adam Tierney, alongside Tom Scioli and series editor Jake Williams. Scioli explained the core idea behind the series was that "Godzilla has been with us for centuries, maybe millennia, hiding in the fringes of history and literature." Five textless pages from the first installment were also included in the announcement.
Trivia
- Godzilla previously encountered William Shakespeare in Dark Horse's Godzilla #10.
- While Godzilla's Monsterpiece Theatre did not include any Toho monsters besides Godzilla himself, this series will feature other familiar kaiju such as Mothra and Mechagodzilla.
