Plot
In Hollow Earth, Lee Shaw grouses that Task Force X hasn't checked in yet. He contemplates killing them at random to earn their respect, but Lex Luthor advises him that they can be counted on to act in their own self-interest and were likely defeated by the Justice League. He adds that Godzilla has just made landfall on Skull Island to stymie the heroes and, thanks to his sabotage of Monarch Outposts 56 and 32, will soon be joined by two more Titans.
Recalling that Kong once wielded a Green Lantern ring in defense of Earth Prime, Green Lantern greets Kong from a portal between worlds, only for the ape to beat his chest angrily in response. Flash informs Green Lantern that they've arrived in an earlier point in Kong's timeline and he has no memory of them. Superman suddenly slams into a mountain next to Kong; rising to his feet, he informs them that Godzilla is on the attack. As he flies back towards the King of the Monsters, Lois Lane expresses concern at him again facing the monster that almost killed him. Batman doubts that Superman can prevail, even with backup from Supergirl and Green Lantern, as something about the Monsterverse is limiting the Kryptonians' ability to absorb solar energy. Flash suggests they exploit Luthor's Titanizing serum, intriguing Mister Terrific.
Superman attempts to communicate to Godzilla that he also seeks to restore the natural balance of the world, earning nothing but an enraged roar in response. He vows to earn his respect through combat, delivering a punch to his jaw. Godzilla responds with atomic breath, which quickly overpowers Superman's heat vision, only to be cut short by a blast of Supergirl's heat vision. Godzilla bats her away with his tail, but Superman catches her. Aboard the USS Saratoga, Mister Terrific quickly prepares a fresh dose of the Titanizing serum. Wonder Woman appears to be the obvious candidate, but he reports that it'll take longer to tailor the serum to her magical properties. Flash offers, but both veto him due to his concussion.
Superman and Supergirl land a flurry of blows against Godzilla, but to little effect. They try a combined strike with all their strength, only for him to swat them away. Green Lantern forms a shield to block the blast of atomic breath that follows. Meanwhile, Cheetah and Black Manta take a HEAV to Hollow Earth for access to the energy source there that can power the Titanizing project. Both plan to betray Shaw, with Black Manta in particular finding his execution of Amanda Waller beyond the pale. With Green Lantern's shield flagging, Wonder Woman delivers the serum to Superman, warning him that his thoughts will be temporarily slowed when he transforms. He agrees nonetheless, growing into Superman Primal, roughly half Godzilla's height. Titan and metahuman trade blows, then lock beams, producing a massive explosion that leaves both lying stunned in a crater. Before they can get up, King Ghidorah and Rodan fly overheard, as Green Lantern questions whose side the new arrivals are on.

Trivia
- A world map on the HEAV shows Skull Island to be east of South America in the Atlantic Ocean; all previous locations given for the island in the Monsterverse were in the Pacific. More unusually, it is the size of a large country.
- The issue's back matter includes a four-page preview of Red Hood #1. The series was notably cancelled one day after its first issue was published, and all copies subject to a voluntary recall, following comments made by author Gretchen Felker-Martin on the assassination of Charlie Kirk.[2]
