Plot
In 1947, military police under the command of Major Jesse Marcel find a crashed Xilien saucer in Roswell, New Mexico and remove the alien corpses inside. A Hedorah probe takes form and kills several soldiers before it is incinerated with flamethrowers. In 1954, more Hedorah probes attack New York City, growing in size as they kill, Dr. Kyoto explains to Agent Bob Jones that the U.S. government covered up the Roswell incident, but is powerless to suppress knowledge of this all-out invasion—or stop it. Jones prepares to call his family to warn them of the danger, but Kyoto orders her men to throw him out of the plane if he tries to do so again, as their destination must be kept secret. Part of her plan to stop the Xiliens involves the kaiju. She recounts how several Hedorah probes attacked Surrey, England in 1897, but were defeated by the terrestrial Hedorah, a defective probe who has long aligned with humanity. H.G. Wells, one of the Sons of Giants, fictionalized the attack in his novel The War of the Worlds. Over the years, the Sons' numbers were whittled down by Xilien assassinations, their victims including President Abraham Lincoln, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and Bugsy Siegel. Their plane lands in Area 51. Kyoto shows Jones the giant robot designed by Benjamin Franklin and finally constructed by modern technology: Jet Jaguar. The robot flies to New York City.
Within the Pentagon, Director Stone oversees the second phase of the Xilien invasion plan, involving Megalon, SpaceGodzilla, and Gigan. U.S. forces in New York City struggle to hold back the Hedorah probes until Jet Jaguar announces his presence with an energy beam. The probes surround and envelop the robot, but he takes them out with an energy surge. Jones and Kyoto celebrate, but are cut short when Mechagodzilla arrives, attacking the robot from behind.

Trivia
- The flashback to the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand recreates a famous 1914 illustration of the event by Achille Beltrame which was published in the Italian newspaper La Domenica del Corriere.
- This comic was released on the same day as Titan Comics and Legendary Comics's Return to Skull Island #1.
- This issue's description erroneously describes King Ghidorah as having attacked ancient Egypt when the monster actually attacked ancient Rome.
