Tsuchigumo (土蜘蛛 lit. ground spider) is a is a kind of Japanese spider yokai who appeared in 1960 film The Demon of Mount Oe and later reappeared in the 2021 film, The Great Yokai War: Guardians.
Design
In The Great Yokai War: Guardians, Tsuchigumo is spider-like in appearance and has a human skull for a head with sharp teeth and tusks on the sides of the jaws similar to an Oni.

Trivia
- During the making of Orochi, the Eight-Headed Dragon, the lava god Kumasogami was originally going to be a half-human, half-spider kaiju that is similar to the Tsuchigumo.
