― Chibi JJ attempting to arrest Chibi Godzilla (Chibi Godzilla Raids Again episode 70, "Champion of Justice, Chibi JJ")

Chibi JJ (ちびJJ,   Chibi JJ) is a juvenile robot who first appears in the third season of the 2023 animated television series Chibi Godzilla Raids Again. He is a "self-proclaimed" police officer who has taken it upon himself to protect Monster Island.

Name

Chibi JJ's name simply comes from placing chibi (ちび), a Japanese word meaning "little", before "JJ", an abbreviation of Jet Jaguar.

Design

Chibi JJ is virtually identical to the original Jet Jaguar as a humanoid robot with a pointed head and distinct smile, albeit in a simpler, "chibi"-fied style. His body is primarily silver with red, yellow, and blue parts. He lacks Jet Jaguar's bird-like emblem at the waist as well as the red downward-facing arrow on his chest. Another difference between Chibi JJ and Jet Jaguar, or any other character based on Jet Jaguar, is that his face can change expressions rather than permanently smiling.

Personality

Chibi JJ takes pride in being highly confrontational and suddenly starting conflicts, all under the mindset that he is a "self-proclaimed policeman" working towards justice. This often puts him at odds with the other monsters, who have usually done nothing wrong. Despite his aggressive persona, he is shown to occasionally get along with the other monsters, being a fan of the same comic books that the others read and sometimes cooking up a multitude of meals for them.

Chibi Godzilla Raids Again

"Champion of Justice, Chibi JJ"

Following Chibi Godzilla's discarding of a broken hair dryer, Chibi JJ suddenly appeared at the scene to arrest him, under the belief that Chibi Godzilla was littering. Chibi JJ presented himself to Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Minilla as a guardian and champion of justice, much to the confusion and annoyance of the juvenile monster siblings. Chibi Godzilla objects to the arrest, claiming that the hair dryer wasn't his to begin with, to which Chibi JJ decides to place him under false arrest instead, causing Chibi Minilla to suspect him of being a fraud. The self-proclaimed policeman then happily went through his collection of handcuffs, going on about how fun he finds arresting people to be. After an aggressive apology from Chibi Godzilla, Chibi JJ decided to strike a deal with him, wanting to know who the young monster's "baddest" associates may be, once again happily expressing his seemingly never-ending enthusiasm for arresting people.

Sensing the commotion, Chibi Titano arrived, leading to Chibi JJ immediately accusing him of speeding, despite him barely moving whatsoever, and driving without a license, despite his vehicle being a bike. Chibi JJ then decided to simply arrest Chibi Titano on a whim, much to the confusion of the latter, who questioned who the robot monster even is or if he was a real police officer. Chibi JJ then explained that he created the island's police force himself, being the sole officer of the force due to his ambition to be the "Champion of Justice." Chibi Minilla and Chibi Titano called him out for being a fake officer, leading to Chibi JJ being hurt by their words but ultimately deciding to spare the three, though not without reiterating the prohibition of littering before leaving. Chibi Godzilla then picked the hair dryer back up, leading Chibi JJ right back to him, now believing that the young monster was holding a weapon.

"Weekly Shonen Gawdzilla"

As Chibi Godzilla, Chibi Ghidorah, Chibi Rodan, and Chibi Anguirus read through the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Gawdzilla that had just washed ashore on Monster Island, Chibi JJ scolded the young monsters, claiming that the comic was a lost item that needed to be returned to the police station, and thus confiscated it, much to the dismay of Chibi Godzilla.

As Chibi Godzilla waited for the next issue a week later, Chibi JJ suddenly appeared behind him, similarly waiting eagerly for the issue to come. Although the monsters were surprised to see him back, Chibi JJ played it off as him simply looking for more items to be confiscated, though Chibi Godzilla saw through his facade. The self-proclaimed policeman then admitted to being hooked on the comic as well, going as far as to spoil last week's issue to Chibi Godzilla. After Chibi Rodan managed to acquire the latest issue a day earlier than usual, Chibi JJ happily allowed the young monsters to read the comic, only to find out that the series Samurai Bun was getting cancelled, prompting Chibi Godzilla to burn the comic to a crisp.

"Chibi JJ's Interrogation"

Chibi Rodan found himself on the receiving end of an interrogation at the hands of Chibi JJ, despite the young pteranodon being completely unaware as to why he was there in the first place. Chibi JJ claimed that Chibi Rodan had committed acts of perjury and property damage, evidenced by the latter's retrieval of Chibi Minilla's lost balloon and accidentally falling on and wrecking a bench after being struck out of the sky by Chibi Ghidorah, respectively. Chibi Rodan found the officer's evidence questionable, insisting he was not at fault for either of these supposed crimes. Chibi JJ continued to attempt to get Chibi Rodan to admit the truth, repeatedly pounding the desk in rage and shining a lamp in the young monster's eyes, believing them to be part of the routine of being a cop. Left with no other choice, the policeman offered Chibi Rodan a bowl of pork-on-rice, encouraging him to dig in. Highly impressed by the meal, Chibi Rodan asked if Chibi JJ was the one who cooked it, only for the robot monster to abruptly disregard the question and shift gears back to the interrogation, before immediately offering a tart with seasonal fruits as well. Chibi JJ then promptly left the room, attending to another interrogation he was conducting.

Chibi JJ began questioning Chibi Godzilla, believing the young monster committed an unspecified crime. Chibi Godzilla remains silent, prompting Chibi JJ to fetch him another bowl of pork-on-rice, a recurring pattern that he seemed to have picked up on. After eating the meal, Chibi Godzilla asked what would be on the menu tomorrow; Chibi JJ replied that he planned to make curry with fresh spices. The reveal of this caused Chibi Godzilla to reveal his own secret: that he was only a small part of a larger criminal group, resulting in Chibi JJ demanding that the group be brought in tomorrow for interrogation. Chibi Godzilla agreed to his demands, but only under the condition that rice bowls would be prepared for them too, though not without a quick check from Chibi JJ if any of them had food allergies.
