The Azure Skyshark is a flying mollusk-like superspecies that was introduced in the 2025 bestiary book Kong: Skull Island - Creature Codex.
Name
The Azure Skyshark is named after the color "azure", and "skyshark" which refers to it's appearance. The Azure Skysharks' cryptozoological classification, Caedes nubis, is derived from the Latin words "caedes", meaning "slaughter" or "murder", and "nubis", meaning "cloud."
