Count Dracula (ドラキュラ伯爵 Dorakyura Hakushaku) is a vampire created by author Bram Stoker for the 1897 novel Dracula. He has appeared in multiple pieces of kaiju and tokusatsu media, including the 2021 film The Great Yokai War: Guardians and the 2024 comic series Godzilla's Monsterpiece Theatre.
Design
In The Great Yokai War: Guardians, Count Dracula possesses pale tan skin, pointed ears, fangs that faintly stick out of his mouth when closed, ragged neck-length brown hair, black eyeshadow, grayish-hazel eyes, a white undershirt, a brown classy coat complete with a cloak and a v-collar, a fuzzy dark brown top hat, and he wears a black hearing aid in his left ear.
In Godzilla's Monsterpiece Theatre, Count Dracula retains his traditional design. He possesses pale white skin, slicked back black hair, a widow's peak, a black cloak, two large fangs, and eyes that glow red.
History
The Great Yokai War: Guardians
Count Dracula was an attendant of the Yokai Yammit, an international gathering of yokai.
Abilities
Physical abilities
Dracula was able to kill Sherlock Holmes by biting him in the neck and even showed similar strength to Monstrum Üpsilon when the two briefly wrestled. When giant sized, Dracula used his claws against Godzilla, inflicting noticeable scratch marks on his head.
Hypnotism
Dracula was able to hypnotize others like Daisy Buchanan and Monstrum Üpsilon through eye contact, with those under his control being unable to resist him even if they openly hated him. The only being this did not work on was Godzilla, with Dracula even commenting that "perhaps Godzilla is unbreakable" shortly after the failed attempt to control him.
Vampire conversion
Dracula was able to turn others into vampires themselves by biting them on the neck and drinking their blood, as he turned Sherlock Holmes into an vampire who was obedient to him, though Holmes was able to briefly regain his sense of self. The transformation seemed to be irreversible, as Jay Gatsby seemingly was forced to kill Holmes by driving a knife with a silver blade into his heart without even thinking of a way to reverse it.
Teleportation
Dracula showed an ability to teleport, using this both in battle against Sherlock Holmes and to travel large distances. This ability also seems to extend to his minions, as seen with the vampiric Sherlock Holmes.
Supernatural vision
Dracula was able to observe Godzilla emerging from the Black Sea despite being many miles away from the monster, showing greater eyesight than any human.
Intelligence
Dracula has human-level intelligence and showed tactics in battle, creating an army of giant monsters through hypnosis and enlargement to try to fight Godzilla.
Durability
Dracula mentioned that he survived being stabbed in the chest by Professor Van Helsing as the attack missed his heart and so merely sent him into a state of shock. Dracula naturally showed increased durability when enlarged by the square-cube ring, showing no visible injuries from Godzilla's initial attacks despite being repeatedly overpowered by the monster.
Weaknesses
Dracula, like all vampires, retained his renowned weaknesses to crosses, silver, garlic, and direct sunlight.
In Godzilla's Monsterpiece Theatre #3, the giant sized Dracula was overpowered by Godzilla even with the help of Monstrum Üpsilon, a giant Werewolf and a giant Mummy. Godzilla then threw him into outer space, where the Sun disintegrated him into dust.

As Godzilla rampaged through London, Dracula's three brides informed their master of the event. Dracula simply commented that "London has become... interesting".
Issue #2
After the attempt to destroy Godzilla in Paris failed, the Time Machinist suggested Dracula's help. The Lord of the Vampires suggested that Godzilla was not evil, but was rather a misunderstood creature, believing that whoever controlled him controlled the world. While Dracula started off friendly, as soon as Sherlock Holmes discovered his true identity, he attacked and killed the detective before bringing Daisy Buchanan to Transylvania in order to watch Godzilla's arrival there.
