Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla

Ikuko Miyajima was the daughter of Nobel Prize-winning physicist Professor Hideto Miyajima. She assisted her father in his laboratory at Mount Fuji. On the day that Masahiko Shimizu visited the laboratory after discovering a piece of Space Titanium, an earthquake struck the lab. Ikuko noted that earthquakes had become more of a common occurrence for 10 days straight. The next day, Mt. Fuji suddenly erupted and expelled a giant rock containing a monster who Masahiko identified as Godzilla. Ikuko remained with her father after the creature's battle with Anguirus, watching him study another piece of Space Titanium discovered by Masahiko's brother Keisuke. She traveled to Tokyo with her father and the Shimizu brothers, where they witnessed Godzilla attacking the port area of the city. A second Godzilla emerged and subsequently fought the other, revealing Space Titanium underneath its counterpart's skin. Her father concluded that the Godzilla from Mt. Fuji was a cyborg imposter, a Mechagodzilla. With its cover blown, Mechagodzilla shed the rest of its disguise to reveal its true robotic form. The monsters renewed their battle until their beams collided, triggering an explosion which knocked Godzilla back into Tokyo Bay and damaged Mechagodzilla's head controls. Mechagodzilla flew away to undergo repairs while Godzilla vanished, leaving blood in the water. Ikuko accompanied her father and Masahiko to Gyokusendo Cave in Okinawa while Keisuke returned to Saeko Kanagusuku and his uncle, Professor Wakura.

As Ikuko and the others searched the cave, two mysterious men in silver jumpsuits captured them. All three were brought into a secret lair inside the cave and introduced to Kuronuma, leader of the Black Hole Planet 3 Aliens' invasion force. Kuronuma coerced Miyajima into repairing Mechagodzilla by sending Ikuko and Masahiko to an execution chamber. When Miyajima completed Mechagodzilla's repairs, he was betrayed by Kuronuma and placed into the chamber as well. Hot steam was released inside of the room, causing immense heat intended to boil them alive. They were saved when Keisuke and INTERPOL agent Nanbara infiltrated the base and opened the execution chamber's door. The rescue was nearly halted by two aliens before Nanbara shot and killed them both. After they escaped the base, Nanbara faked their deaths by activating a trap left in Keisuke's car. Nanbara told the others to head to Azumi Castle, while he would go back into the aliens' base to deal with them. However, Masahiko and Professor Miyajima insisted on accompanying him, the latter influenced by his insight on Mechagodzilla's head controls and remorse for helping Kuronuma. As the three men returned to the base, Ikuko and Keisuke met with Saeko Kanagusuku, who had the statue of King Caesar.

Intending to use the statue to awaken the ancient guardian, they traveled to Azumi Castle. The three were stopped by aliens holding Nami Kunigami and her grandfather Tengan hostage, demanding they hand over the statue in exchange for their captives' lives. Before they could do so, INTERPOL agent Tamura shot and killed both aliens. At that moment, the sun rose, producing the mirage of another sun rising in the west. The statue was placed on top of the shrine and fired two beams from its eyes at a cliffside, revealed to house the sleeping King Caesar. Nami ran down to the beach and sung a sacred prayer to the ancient guardian, just before Mechagodzilla arrived to destroy him. When the song finished, King Caesar awakened and battled Mechagodzilla. Godzilla later joined the battle to aid King Caesar. Together, the two monsters were able to destroy Mechagodzilla. With the threat eliminated, Godzilla swam away into the ocean and King Caesar returned to his slumber inside the cliff. As this was happening, the group saw a nearby explosion, caused by Miyajima and the others destroying the base and killing the remaining aliens, including Kuromuma. Ikuko was concerned for her father's safety but Keisuke assured her that he would've been able to escape in time, achieving a great victory in the process. Ikuko watched with Keisuke, Masahiko, and Saeko as Nami returned the King Caesar statue to its rightful place in Azumi Castle.
