Ickblob

Ickblob is a character who appears in the 2025 IDW Publishing ongoing comic series Starship Godzilla as a crewmate aboard the spacefaring S.S. Mechagodzilla.
Design
Ickblob is a translucent blue humanoid alien. Their head is wider than their body and they possess simple, noodle-like appendages. Ickblob's organs, including their brain, are visible through their translucent skin. The only clothing they wear is a white vest.

Starship Godzilla
"Chapter One: Comet Salt"
After a baby kaiju hatched and began wreaking havoc aboard the S.S. Mechagodzilla, Captain Rohan, Ayan, and Lif attempted to locate it to contain the situation as quickly as possible, though it soon made it to the flight deck where Ilsa and Ickblob were forced to hide from it. Desperate to save the kaiju from Rohan and Lif, who sought to kill it, Ayan raced through the ship's inner workings and made it to the flight deck first, where she calmly greeted Ickblob, Ilsa, and the creature. She proceeded to pacify it before Rohan and Lif could arrive, with Ickblob happily sitting beside Ayan as she fed the baby kaiju snacks.
Starship Godzilla #2
Flying through the atmosphere of a gambling planet, Ickblob informed Rohan that their thermal sealant was on the brink of failure while Rohan ordered the crew to brace for impact. After crash-landing, Ayan's grandmother, Gen, tasked Rohan with placing bets for her on a high-stakes game called fishing while she and Ayan sought to repair the S.S. Mechagodzilla. As an enthusiast of the game, Lif explained the rules of fishing to the inquisitive Ickblob, detailing that participants had to retrieve a cannonball launched into space that released pulses to attract nearby space kaiju such as boro eels or Trilopods, but occasionally lured much greater kaiju. Lif was excited to witness the arrival of one such powerful kaiju, King Ghidorah, telling Ickblob that the monster's presence tripled all bets. Once repairs to the ship were complete, the crew departed the planet without further incident.
"Chapter Three: First Date"
On an Xilien-controlled mining planet, Rohan ordered the rest of his crew not to leave the ship as he left to deliver kaiju eggs to their client; Ickblob and Lif obliged and continued their betting game.

- Ickblob, being a translucent blue creature with long and thin appendages, is reminiscent of the Toho monster Dogora.
