Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla

Nami Kunigami and her grandfather Tengan Kunigami were descendants of the royal family of Azumi. Long ago, the royal family was protected by King Caesar when people from mainland Japan attempted to conquer Okinawa.

While the guardian monster slumbered, Nami performed a traditional Okinawan ceremony at Azumi Castle, viewed by Keisuke and Masahiko Shimizu. Her performance was abruptly halted when she froze in horror and collapsed on the ground. The Shimizu brothers tried to see if she was alright, only to be pushed aside by Tengan who asked her what was wrong. She told her grandfather that she had seen a vision of a monster devastating a city and trampling on anyone who tried to escape. When Fake Godzilla appeared at Mount Fuji, Tengan told Nami that the monster must have been the one she foretold of. Tengan believed that the only thing capable of defeating it was King Caesar; however, by this time, the statue of the ancient guardian had been taken by Keisuke and archaeologist Saeko Kanagusuku. Her grandfather knelt down and prayed that Fake Godzilla would wreak vengeance upon those who tried to conquer the Azumi tribe. Later, when Keisuke, Saeko, and Ikuko Miyajima traveled to Azumi Castle to place the statue on a shrine, they were stopped by two Black Hole Planet 3 Aliens holding Nami and Tengan hostage. In exchange for their lives, the aliens demanded that they hand over the statue. Tengan blamed Keisuke and the others for taking the statue in the first place, only to be pushed to the floor by one of the aliens. Before Keisuke could hand over the statue, INTERPOL agent Tamura shot and killed both aliens. Tamura assisted Nami and Tengan as the Sun rose, producing a mirage that made it appears as if another Sun was rising in the west. The statue was placed on top of the shrine and fired two beams from its eyes at a cliffside, revealed to house the sleeping King Caesar. Since King Caesar could only be awakened by a member of the Azumi royal family, Nami ran down to the beach and sung a sacred prayer to the ancient guardian. After the song was finished, King Caesar awakened and battled Mechagodzilla. Godzilla would also join the battle against a Mechagodzilla and would be the one who ultimately destroyed it. With the threat eliminated, Godzilla swam away into the ocean and King Caesar returned to his slumber inside the cliff. Nami returned the King Caesar statue to its rightful place in Azumi Castle, with Tengan claiming that the spirits of the Azumi royal family could now rest in peace.
