In fiction
- The giant monster Tsunozillas attacks Tokyo, forcing Godman to return to Earth and fight the monstrous threat for the first time in 35 years. After defeating the monster, Tsunozillas's flesh mutates into two human-sized monsters, Gaira and Shilarji, who begin to attack a photographer and traffic guard, eventually leading to the summoning of fellow space warrior Greenman. Together, they defeat the monsters and news of the event is published in newspapers around the world. (Go! Godman film)
- The G8 Summit meets in Sapporo, where international relations are strained. To make matters worse, Guilala makes a sudden return to the planet. It's up to a group of Japanese people and the legendary god, Take-Majin, to save the day. (Monster X Strikes Back: Attack the G8 Summit)
