The Goten (轟天 Gōten, lit. "Roaring Heavens") is a drill-nosed mother-ship which appears in the 2025 Akita Publishing manga Godzilla Galaxy Odyssey.
Name
The Goten's name comes from that of the Gotengo—literally translated as "Roaring Heavens"—but without the -gō (号) suffix which is typically given to ships and other machinery.
Origins
The Goten was created by the Japanese military branch of the Galactic Treaty Organization (GATO).

Capabilities
Transformation
The Goten's default form is its Mother-Ship Form. It is capable of retracting its stability wings and flight deck to assume its Space Excavator Form and travel through space via "space excavation".
Space Excavator Drill
The Goten is equipped with a Space Excavator Drill that, when assuming its Space Excavator Form, allows the Goten to travel by using spatial relocation. Visually, the Goten appears to be literally drilling through space.
Flight
The Goten is capable of flying both in Earth's atmosphere and in space. It is also shown to be capable of hovering in place.
Diving
The Goten is capable of diving by switching into its Space Excavator Form, though it is noted by Admiral Alan FitzRoy that the Goten's mobility and arsenal are heavily restricted
Flight Deck
The Goten can launch multiple FAV-1001 Startail VI aircraft from its flight deck in Mother-Ship Form.
Maser cannons
The Goten has three extremely powerful three-barrel Maser Cannons located on the topside of the ship. Despite Admiral Alan FitzRoy stating that the Maser Cannons on the Goten were the largest and most powerful Maser weapons in history, these Maser Cannons were completely unable to harm Godzilla even when fired at 100% power. Godzilla instead absorbed the external heat energy from the attack and converted it into a Heat Ray that he fired back at the Goten.
Maser Field
The Goten can deploy a Maser Field, a force-field that applies the same principles as the Maser Cannon which was created to withstand the cannons equipped on the Goten. The Maser Field was unable to withstand the heat ray that Godzilla had fired back at the Goten and would've been destroyed if it weren't for Shinya Osaki crashing his Startail VI into Godzilla's face, causing the beam to veer off its target.
Torpedoes
The Goten could fire torpedoes underwater. It used these torpedoes to obscure Godzilla's vision and prevent him from seeing the location of Odo Island, which had been transported onto the ship.
Relocation Devices
The Goten was able to utilize the relocation devices used by the Nebula to transport Godzilla and the entirety of Odo Island inside of the ship.
Environment Simulation
The Goten was equipped with various systems that it could use to simulate a real environment. It used these to prevent Godzilla from noticing that he and his home, Odo Island, had been transported aboard the Goten. These various systems include: wall screens, artificial wave generators, atmosphere simulators, geomagnetism simulators, and many more.
Artificial Gravity
The Goten is equipped with a Gravity Generator that it can use in space to create artificial gravity for its crew. Miyu Kaido humorously stated that she was thankful for it, as everyone would've been thrown all over the place in Zero G during the Goten's spatial relocation.
