The Colosseum is a famous landmark located in Rome, Italy. It is the largest elliptical amphitheater in the world. It was featured in the 2024 Monsterverse film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

In 2027, following Godzilla's defeat of Scylla in Rome, the King of the Monsters decides to rest inside the Colosseum. When the Skar King is defeated and Shimo is freed from his control, Godzilla returns to the Colosseum to rest once more.

"Monster Island Tour"

On the final stop of Chibi Godzilla's tour of Monster Island, he brings Chibi Mechagodzilla to the Colosseum. When Chibi Mechagodzilla asks what's inside, Chibi Godzilla reveals Godzilla, his father, slumbering in the Flavian Amphitheatre.

Godzilla, Rodan, Hedorah, and Mothra battle King Ghidorah in the middle of Rome during ancient times. Initially, the Earth kaiju attack individually, and, after dispatching Hedorah, Ghidorah throws Rodan away with his wings. Rodan falls onto the Colosseum, partially destroying it.
