APMEX is a bullion dealer based in Oklahoma City, United States of America, that sells precious metals and objects of numismatic value such as coins, banknotes and related collectibles. In 2021, APMEX partnered with the New Zealand Mint to produce and distribute a series of .999 fine gold and silver coins themed around Godzilla vs. Kong. This was followed up in 2023 with a series of .999 fine silver coins revolving around Godzilla, Mothra, and King Ghidorah.

Godzilla vs. Kong

In addition to Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) silver, silver proof and BU gold issues, APMEX also released a set of colourised coins, included either in tamper-proof packaging or in gift sets. The coins, which are legal tender in Niue, an island nation and associated state of New Zealand, have a face value of 2 Niue dollars for the silver issues, and 250 Niue dollars for the gold issues. Each coin weighs exactly one troy ounce, or 31.1034768 grams.

Godzilla vs. Monsters

In 2023, the New Zealand Mint released a second set of monster-themed coins, this time based around the Heisei era incarnations of Godzilla, King Ghidorah and Mothra. As with the previous set, these coins weigh one troy ounce each, and have a face value of two Niue dollars. To be completed.
