A.D. Vision (ADV) was an American multimedia entertainment distribution company headquartered in Houston, Texas, founded in 1992 by John Ledford, Matt Greenfield, and David Williams. The company specialized in the localization and theatrical and home video distribution of foreign productions, typically anime and tokusatsu films. It was well-known as the first company to localize the popular anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion in North America. It released several tokusatsu films either produced or domestically distributed by Toho on home video in North America under its ADV Films label, most notably the Heisei Gamera trilogy. The company was liquidated in 2009, with its assets acquired by Section23 Films. ADV's co-founder Matt Greenfield went on to work under one of Section23's subsidiaries, Kraken Releasing, which continued ADV's practice of releasing kaiju films in North America.
