Shigeaki Hidaka

Shigeaki Hidaka (日高 繁明 Hidaka Shigeaki) was a Japanese film director and screenwriter. After working as an assistant director at Toho in the 1940s, he made his directorial debut as the co-director of The Lady and the Balloon (1950, with Kiyoshi Nakano).[3] He began writing a few years later, authoring one of Toho's earliest science-fiction films, Invisible Man (1954). His other screenplays included Godzilla Raids Again (1955), the sequel to Godzilla (1954), which he wrote with that film's co-writer Takeo Murata.

Trivia
- One of numerous G-Force members named after Godzilla crew in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993) is named Second Lieutenant Hidaka.[4]
