"Godman vs. Volpes" (ゴッドマン対ボルベス Goddoman tai Borupesu) comprises the 61st to 66th episodes of Go! Godman, the 11th overall story arc. They aired on Nippon TV from December 14 to 16 and 18 to 20, 1972.
Plot
Some children were playing when Volpes appeared. Immediately, all the children ran away, calling for Godman. He descended from the skies, landed, and grew to giant size before charging into battle against Volpes. At first, Godman had the advantage, repeatedly pushing and knocking Volpes to the ground, though he was also thrown down a few times himself. To gain the upper hand, Godman summoned his God-Crush, allowing him to attack without risk. The weapon proved effective, toppling Volpes and making the fight easier. However, Volpes got back up and struggled to seize the weapon, even managing to hurl Godman away. Godman retaliated by striking Volpes again with the God-Crush, combining it with a powerful kick to knock his foe down once more.
Still, Volpes fought back, attempting to wrestle the weapon away and even stealing it briefly to attack with it, though it was ultimately lost. The battle then turned to hand-to-hand combat. Volpes pinned Godman to the ground, but Godman reversed the hold, and soon both fighters stood again for a fair fight. At this point, Volpes unleashed a stream of pink gas from his fingers, which ignited fires wherever it touched. Godman counterattacked, and the battle became an even contest.
When Volpes finally tried to flee, Godman ensnared him with the God-Circle, tossing him around several times but sparing his life. Though seemingly defeated, Volpes attempted to escape once more, using his pink gas to cover his retreat. However, it proved ineffective—Godman struck him with the God-Sparks and ultimately finished him off with a decisive God-Kick. Godman stood victorious once again.
