Call of Duty is a first-person shooter video game series published by Activision which began in 2003. Two of its games, Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone, crossed over with Godzilla vs. Kong in a limited-time mode called Operation Monarch, which ran from May 11 to May 25, 2022.
Operation Monarch storyline
After the Nazis detonated toxic Nebula V bombs in cities around the world, Godzilla and King Kong awakened and ran amok in Caldera, an island in the Indonesian archipelago. The Titans did not actually battle each other, with Kong sticking to land and Godzilla roaming the waters around the island as 15 teams of four players vied to be the last one standing. Monarch, a secret organization which studies and defends against such Titans, aided players with intelligence and S.C.R.E.A.M. (Titan Sonic Communication Radar and Echolocation Array Module) Devices, which allowed them to briefly control one of the monsters. Otherwise, Godzilla and Kong did not actively target players unless they entered a Titan Frenzy. The squad which dealt the most damage to them during this event received S.C.R.E.A.M. Devices.
