King Kong Cash is a five-reel video slot machine based on the 2005 film King Kong from Universal Pictures. It was released in 2007 by Atronic Systems, and was designed based on their "Cash Fever" progressive Jackpot software for Atronic's E-Motion machines.[1][2]

Overview

King Kong Cash is a typical slot machine game in which the player places a wager starting at 1¢, and attempts to stop five spinning wheels with varying images on them to form various configurations with associated score multipliers, with the most famous being five of the same picture in a row.

Machines could be bought or rented individually, in groups of four called "Carousels" with or without themed chairs or other accessories.

Gameplay

The player gambles on the machine's reels to stop spinning with various images from the film or existing Cash Fever compatible software to land with five matches in a row, or in another configuration with associated score effects. When the player enters the "Bonus Mode," they may pick one of three scenes from the movie: the Venture traveling to Skull Island, the log bridge, or King Kong's rampage in New York City. Each scene has a randomized value that gives the player five, seven, or ten extra spins. Some machines displayed the three highest scores on it or its Carousel's records.

Trivia

  • This machine does not feature human characters from the film in any recognizable capacity. This is most likely due to Atronic Systems not obtaining the actors' likeness rights.
  • An unrelated five-reel video slot game called King Kong Cash was released by Blueprint Gaming in 2016.
