Sonic Rumble is an online multiplayer party and battle royale mobile game in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Sega developed the game and published it on November 5, 2025, for Android, iOS, and PC. Players control toy-like versions of characters from the Sonic franchise, as well as those from collaborations and other Sega properties, to compete in a series of quick matches and minigames in order to earn rewards. An official collaboration with the Godzilla franchise launched on December 22, 2025, and ran for one month until January 21, 2026.[1][2]

— Stage briefing for Godzilla Survival |
The Godzilla Crossover Event's most elaborate addition is Godzilla Survival, a Survival-type Stage which can randomly appear in the second round of Ring Survival mode. Set on a fleet of battleships in Egg Toy Land, players must stay above water, jumping between three ships while contending with each other, Godzilla, and Badnik representations of Shockirus. Falling into the water twice eliminates you from the game, and the round ends after eight eliminations.
When the round begins, Godzilla will destroy an inaccessible fourth ship before turning his attention to the players. He can attack with his atomic breath in two ways, both of which will send the player flying into the water if hit, expending a life and deducting Rings. The first, a blast in a straight line, can be avoided by sidestepping the path of the blast, indicated in advance by a red-marked area on the floor. The latter, a circular blast, covers the entire surface area of a ship and will sink it; it can only be avoided by hopping to an adjacent ship using wide springs attached to the edge(s) of the decks. The rightmost ship (labeled "03") will not respawn after it is sunk, the leftmost ("01") will not respawn after the second time it is sunk, and the middle ship ("02") will always respawn.
At the same time, Shockirus hop onto the ships' decks and will lunge at players. Being hit by one does not automatically send you into the water, though it does cause a small amount of knockback as well as deducting Rings and temporarily inflicting slowness. As with all Stages, Rings, Item Boxes, and Collectathon points spawn throughout. Players may sabotage each other using Attacks found in the Item Boxes or their personal Skills, both of which can potentially knock you into the water.
Event Pass
The Godzilla Crossover Event includes a battle pass, known as an Event Pass, which awards various in-game currencies and exclusive player customizations. As the player earns XP through gameplay, their Event Pass level increases. They may also skip ahead levels by spending Red Star Rings. By default, one reward is given per level attained, as part of the "Free Pass." However, a second set of rewards can be accessed through one of two microtransactions: the $8.99 "Premium Pass" or the $17.99 "Premium Pass+," which gives the additional benefits of 160 Red Star Rings and raising the player's Event Pass level by 30. Either purchase also comes with a Mothra Buddy. All 45 levels and their respective rewards are listed in the table below. Levels highlighted in gold include crossover-exclusive rewards.

During gameplay, players can collect G-Force crates littered throughout each stage, which they can spend in a blind-box raffle for in-game currency. The raffle offers eight boxes to choose from, but players are restricted to selecting three per day.
Community Challenge
On December 26, 2025, the game's playerbase was challenged on social media to play as many rounds in groups as they could before December 29.[3] Five milestones were set which, if reached, would each yield an exclusive reward to all registered players, regardless of whether they participated in the Challenge. All five goals were ultimately reached before the deadline, and their rewards were sent out in a piece of in-game mail at 8:00 a.m. UTC on December 29. If not claimed, the rewards will expire at 8:00 a.m. UTC on January 21, 2026.[4] The table below lists the Challenge goals, their rewards, and the dates on which each goal was called.

Trivia
- Sonic Rumble is only Shockirus' second video game appearance, and the first since the PC-8801 game Multiplayer Adventure: New Godzilla 40 years prior.
- All of the Godzilla monsters featured in this collaboration are from the Heisei series of films with the exception of Mechagodzilla, who is based on his Millennium incarnation.
- The G-Force Logo Icon actually depicts the logo of G-Force's parent organization, the United Nations Godzilla Countermeasure Center. The same logo appears on the G-Force points from the Collectathon.
- The Heat Ray Skill was initially called Atomic Breath in the early access build of the Godzilla Crossover Event.[9] Despite this, a Background called Godzilla Atomic Breath Plate remained unchanged.
- Although Sonic Rumble marks the first direct crossover between Godzilla and Sonic the Hedgehog, three prior games featured both separately: The Battle Cats, Fall Guys, and Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble.
- AiAi, the main character of Banana Rumble and other Super Monkey Ball games, also appeared in both Fall Guys and Sonic Rumble, making this the third game to feature him, Godzilla, and Sonic.
- The base game features a multicolored team of Egg Pawns called the Egg Pawn Rangers, a reference to the Power Rangers franchise, which is itself based on the Toei tokusatsu franchise Super Sentai.
