An untitled Monsterverse series centered on a young Lee Shaw will be produced for Apple TV, with Joby Harold as showrunner. A collaboration of Legendary Pictures, Safehouse Pictures, and Toho, it will be a spinoff of the companies' Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (TV 2023–2026). The series will follow Colonel Shaw, a Monarch agent, in 1984 as he goes undercover to prevent the Soviet Union from harnessing a Titan to destroy the United States and win the Cold War.[2]
Development
Initial details regarding the series were first reported by Nexus Point News on November 27, 2025.[3] Apple TV made an official announcement on December 17, 2025, giving additional details regarding the setting and premise, as well as naming the series' producers, including showrunner Joby Harold, who going forward will oversee "Legendary's entire Monsterverse franchise for Apple TV, featuring both new and fan-favorite Titans".[2]
Production
Nexus Point News initially reported that the series would begin shooting in the summer of 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic.[3] However, in a Collider interview published on February 20, 2026, executive producer Tory Tunnell stated that filming was set to start in the spring.[1]

- Producer Kei Banno is the son of the late director Yoshimitsu Banno,[4] who was credited as an executive producer on all five of Legendary Pictures' Godzilla films and as a producer on Monarch: Legacy of Monsters for his role in helping the studio license the character.[5]
