A solo film for Anguirus would make us understand him more and see if he has more lore

I don't think solo films are in the cards for any of Godzilla's supporting cast right now, especially not one who's only appeared in one film in the past 50 years. I'm an Anguirus enjoyer myself, but he's pretty firmly a supporting player.

I wonder if we'll ever reach a point where Toho would allow more focus on other monsters. I think the fact that Mothra, by far the most popular of Godzilla's roster, has only ever gotten three movies to herself after joining the franchise is pretty telling.
