Warkyrie (ワルキューレ,   Warukyūre) is a Gaia Soldier kaiju created by Toho that first appeared in episode 20 of the 1996 tokusatsu kaiju series, Guyferd titled The Valkyrie's Trap.

Name

Warkyrie's name is derived from the Valkyries of Nordic mythology. It is speculated that the name was changed to include the Japanese word (悪い,   Waru), meaning "bad," or denoting negative character traits. If this is true, it would make her name a bilingual portmanteau, describing her as an evil Valkyrie.

While disguised as a human to trick Guyferd, she uses the name Reiko (玲子,   Reiko). Whether this was her name before her mutation, or a false identity created for her undercover work is unknown.

"The Valkyrie's Trap"

Warkyrie was sent by Zodiac to gain the trust of a local artist by joining as her assistant. She must infiltrate the studio and keep it under constant surveillance in order to retrieve the Fallah artifact that the owner has. Her cover remains in tact until the Studio attracts the attention of Go Kazama and Takeo Shiroishi, both of whom she recognizes as threats and must blow her cover to take down. She and Gou begin to fight in a parking garage, but she escapes and catches him off guard outside by taking the form of his friend Rei Kujo. She defeats him and retrieves the briefcase with the ancient sword in it, only to turn around and see Gou. Gou transforms into Guyferd, Warkyrie transforms back into herself, and the two have an intense Martial arts fight until Warkyrie is finished off with a Fire attack from Guyferd.
