Godzilla Island Matango?

Was it ever confirmed in other media such as encyclopaedic books that the mushrooms in Godzilla Island are actually Matango? Because I just finished watching the English-subtitled uploads of the Fire Rodan story arc and they're never referred to as such, only in more generic terms. -Titanozilla2023 (talk) 16:47, 26 March 2025 (UTC)

Good question. Neither Godzilla 1954-1999 Super Complete Works nor Toho Special Effects All Monster Encyclopedia calls them Matango and, as far as Wikipedia indicates, Neo-Hedorah wasn't even born on Matango Island. I think all of the Neo-Hedorah information on the site needs to be deleted or rewritten... --Les (main | talk) 16:58, 26 March 2025 (UTC)

mold on the boat

hey so I'm watching matango again after a while and I was just wondering, is the mold that covered the first boat that was marooned on the island connected to the matango mushrooms themselves? or is that completely separate. -El spigre (talk) 01:21, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
