The Godzilla Pop-up Picture Book is a pop-up book with artwork by Masami Watanabe and Mick Yukata Murakami. It was published in December 1993 by Nobus Corporation.
Plot
The book serves as a simplified retelling of the events of The Return of Godzilla; Godzilla is awoken by a volcanic explosion on Daikoku Island and attacks a fishing boat before making his way to attack Tokyo after taking the nuclear energy from a power station. The Super X defeats Godzilla using a cadmium missile, but the monster is revived by a lightning strike and, after another battle, destroys the aircraft. Godzilla is then lured into a trap set at Mount Mihara that sends him plummeting into the volcano.
