— The island girl's last words (Skull Island episode 7, "You're Not a King, You're Just a Stupid Animal")

The island girl is a human resident of Skull Island that befriended Kong around the time of the 1973 expedition, remaining close to him until her tragic death years prior to 1993. Best friends with the Titan, the island girl spent her time amongst her people, hanging out with Kong, stargazing with the ape on the island's highest mountain every night, and aiding whenever there was a threat on the island to be dealt with. One fateful day, Kong got the girl, the Hawk Monster, and himself nearly killed in a fight against a Horncrest Chameleon trio. After a subsequent falling out, the girl and her entire village were slaughtered by the Kraken.

Appearance

The island girl is a young woman inferably in her late teens or early twenties with fair peach skin, claret red hair, and green eyes. She wears a raspberry red tunic with a v-collar and pale taupe waistband, pale sky blue shorts that are wrapped with black soles on her knees, a cool gray him-style fur-composed skirt, gray primitive wet shoes, a dark gray armband on her right bicep, and a thick light gray wristband on her left wrist. Her hair is styled into a messy bun while her sideburns dangle down past her jawline freely. Most prominently, the girl wears a multi-strain necklace adorned with two Prussian blue round beads, two cracked almond-like beads that match her shorts' color and are outlined black, and a sage pocket watch with a pistachio green locket.

The island girl possesses a handmade stick-composed spear with a red handle, a grass blade fletch near the sharpened edge, and a second handle that wraps around the fletch.

Following the Kraken's attack on her people, the island girl was deprived of the band securing her hair bun, leaving her shoulder-length hair loose. In addition to this, the girl was left with bloodshot eyes and scars on her being, the latter caused by the electrical poisoning the monster inflicted, during her dying moments.

Personality

The island girl was a loving, playful, brave, and protective individual who enjoyed spending time amongst either her people or Kong, whom she befriended at some point before or following the events of 1973. Acting as an older sister figure towards the Titan in spite of his size and native divinity, the island girl actively spoke to him whenever they hung out and scolded him whenever it was necessary. Most prominently, she goes out of her way to aid Kong in facing Skull Island's more hostile, malevolent inhabitants despite risking her life in doing so. Towards the beginning of "You're Not a King, You're Just a Stupid Animal", the island girl lured a mature Skullcrawler to a dead end before smirking, causing it to look up as Kong jumped down and impaled its head. Following the triumph, she gestured for Kong to pick her up before climbing to the mountain peak where they stargazed and talked about having mechanical versions of themselves taking on the role of protecting the island while they rest. When they faced the danger of a trio of Horncrest Chameleons that had killed a Sker Buffalo, the girl advised to bring back up and formulate a plan. She scolded Kong when he attempted to drop a boulder on one of the Chameleons. Sighing in relief when he obliged to her word, she exhaled in annoyance after he playfully dropped the boulder to spite her. When the following battle almost killed the two of them and the Hawk Monster, the island girl scowled at Kong. Upon climbing up from the cliff, she demanded Kong to put her down before she scolded him for his reckless actions, unhesitatingly calling him names such as "foolish boy" and "giant idiot." Before leaving the ape, she remarked, "You're not a king. You're just a stupid animal." The following night, she didn't join Kong as he climbed up to the mountain peak that they normally stargazed and conversed from every night. When the ape attempted to make amends by dropping a fruit tree into her village, she dismissed him and expressed no interest in playing with him when he gestured her. Later that day at sunset, she expressed fear as her people's fishermen were mysteriously dragged to their deaths underwater. In her final moments, she rested in Kong's hand as he carried her to his temple. Slowly succumbing to her wounds, she smiled as she looked up at Kong and referred to him as "her king" before affectionately touching his face with the last of her breath.

Skull Island

"You're Not a King, You're Just a Stupid Animal"

Prior to the events of the episode, the island girl had witnessed the 1973 Monarch expedition arrive on Skull Island via the Sky Devils helicopter squadron.

One night, the island girl ran through the jungle as she was chased by a seemingly mature Skullcrawler, finding herself conveniently cornered at the bottom of a mountain. The giant predator closed in on her, backing her up against the mountain and readying to consume her. All of the sudden, the island girl gave off a pleased smile and chuckle, prompting the confused Skullcrawler to look up, only for Kong to come down on it and impale a large branch straight through its snout, killing it via the sheer shock. As the triumphant Kong smiled and boomed a victory cry, the island girl approached him, gesturing for him to pick her up as he got down to his hands. Promptly carried away by her giant friend, the island girl looked up at the beautiful night sky on Kong's shoulder as he climbed up Skull Island's highest mountain. There at the top of the peak, they sat down and directed their attention to the aurora and stars far above. At that moment, the island girl brought up the expedition that had arrived on Skull Island in helicopters years earlier, asking Kong if it ever made him think about what else they could build out there, if they could create "machine people." She said that she'd like a machine person, and that they could make a machine Kong. That way, when the two of them were tired, which was always, they could take naps and their machine counterparts would take over for a while. The island girl reckoned that while one might think that they would be bored of such, she didn't think they would be. She and Kong would have enough time to dream, a surmise that put intimate glee on Kong's face. The island girl declared that she would dream of a machine version of herself and a machine version of Kong.

The next day, the island girl was out on a boat just off-shore from her village, humming to herself in content. Suddenly, something shook her boat, its massive silhouette darkening the water below her and prompting her to reach for her spear. With another sudden shake, she held onto the rims of her boat and braced for what was to happen. At the sound of a familiar grunt, the island girl paused before looking down below to see Kong holding her boat in his hand and laughing, much to her annoyance. She berated the ape for his mischief and threatened to drown him, stressing that just because he was big doesn't she couldn't beat him. The scolding was put to an end when the Hawk Monster flew by above them, screeching for them to follow it. Kong promptly carried the island girl in his hand as he leapt his way over to the Hawk monster's location, gently letting her slide out of his hand. Regaining her footing from the quick trip, the island girl beheld the sight of a massive dead Sker Buffalo, a massive chunk of the side of its ribs having been torn off. With Kong determinedly standing up and the Hawk monster flying off to seek the culprit behind the dead Sker buffalo, the island girl began running off in pursuit. She laughed and playfully teased Kong that he was so slow, leaping up and backwards as he came in from behind on all fours and caught her in his hand, in for another trip across the island as the two of them followed behind the hawk monster. Having arrived at a desert canyon elsewhere on the island, the island girl and Kong discovered the killers of the poor Sker buffalo: A trio of Horncrest Chameleons that dragged their prey's ribs to their feeding area in the canyon. Assessing the situation from a cliff just above the creatures, the island girl insisted to Kong that they get her fellow villagers and make a plan, which the ape didn't like, immediately scolding him when he got up to acquire a nearby boulder to drop on the chameleons below. For a moment, her pleas were heeded as Kong hesitated and stopped, briefly relieving her right before he spitefully dropped the boulder anyway, to her annoyance. As she watched, Kong leapt down and challenged the Horncrest Chameleons, one of which noticed her far above before immediately rushing up the canyon wall after her. Backing away, the island girl awaited the oncoming predator, which promptly appeared before her and began to advance towards her slowly. Promptly raising her spear, she neared throwing her weapon when the cunning chameleon suddenly leapt side to side a few times before shooting out its tongue at her. Dodging out of the way, the island girl came back around before plunging her spear down into the beast's tongue, drawing blood and drawing a pained screech. Just when she thought had the creature briefly incapacitated, she felt the strike of a tail-whip that sent her tumbling backward and off the cliff, suddenly putting her in immediate danger of falling to her death. Screaming Kong's name, the island girl braced herself as Kong knocked aside the chameleon he was engaged with and leapt up to catch her in mid-air. Right as they passed by each other, Kong harrowingly missed her hand, leaving her closing in on her oncoming demise. In the nick of time, the Hawk monster dove down and caught her. Unfortunately, the chameleon atop the cliff has somehow freed itself from the island girl's spear and managed to leap at the hawk monster as it flew close enough, catching its ankle. The ravenous reptile looked down below before biting into the Hawk monster, prompting the avian to spin around in an effort to shake off the attacker, succeeding. However, on the way down, the chameleon shot its tongue out and snatch the island girl by her ankle, pulling her out of the Hawk monster's grasp and bringing her down with it. After the chameleon landed down and got impaled through the chest with a bone sticking up, the island girl frankly landed on its body without sustaining herself any harm. Unfortunately, the chameleon was still alive and immediately tried to snatch her with its tongue, forcing her to hide behind the bone impaling the creature. Nearby, Kong bashed his own chameleon against the canyon wall to death, causing the wall to crack and start raining debris, threatening everyone below. Leaping into his hands as the giant rocks came down, the island girl landed into his grasp just in time and thus survived. The triumphant Kong emerged from the debris and gleefully exchanged looks with the relieved Hawk monster before looking down at the island girl in his hand, only to find her crossing her arms as she sat in his palm, visibly displeased with him. After Kong climbed back up the cliff with her in his hand, the island girl demanded for him to let her go, which he regrettably obliged. Sliding off his palm, the island girl angrily began to berate him for his foolishly reckless actions, which nearly got them and the hawk monster killed. She proceeded to call him a "foolish boy" and a "giant idiot", the latter offending Kong enough for him to retort with a roar, which she defiantly screamed against. At that moment, she coldly told Kong that he was not a king, that he was "just a stupid animal", walking off just like that.
