Category talk:Dinosaurs

I think this category should only include stuff that is included in the Dinosauria clade and not Pterosaurs. I think it would be better to create a "Pterosaurs" category and keep it separate.--Cheese Head (talk) 19:39, 30 October 2025 (UTC)

I would also like to add that there could also be a "Prehistoric reptiles" category that would act more like how this one does at the moment, and maybe also include more dinosaur-like creatures. I would like to hear yalls' thoughts on this because personally, it kinda triggers me to see Rodan and the like to be stated to be "Dinosaurs", especially since I like taxonomy.--Cheese Head (talk) 20:31, 30 October 2025 (UTC)

I completely agree. Dinosaurs should be separated from non-dinosaurs. We need categories for pterosaurs and plesiosaurs (which could include Elasmosaurus, Plesiosaurus, and Liopleurodon). Anguirus95 (talk) 21:06, 30 October 2025 (UTC)

I have also wanted such a change to categories for prehistoric life, though I avoided making substantial changes for concern of going against the admins' wishes. That said, a Pterosaur category would be good, though probably not a plesiosaur category since there are so few characters that would go into the category anyway.
