Akuma-kun
According to the 1990 book All Kaiju Kaijin (First Volume), pages 90-93, the characters and monsters which appear in Akuma-kun are as follows (note these are my own, rough translations):
- Shingo Yamada (Akuma-kun) (山田真吾(悪魔くん))
- Doctor Faust (ファウスト博士)
- Mephisto's Older Brother (メフィスト・兄), real name Mercedes Nichi Mephisto (メールセデス・ニチ・メフィスト)
- Mephisto's Younger Brother (メフィスト・弟), real name Syrahsultan Memmott Mephisto (シラーサルタン・メモット・メフィスト)
- Gamma (ガンマー), real name Hyakume (百目, lit. Hundred Eyes; Hyakume are a kind of yokai)
- Baketori (化け鳥, lit. Transforming Bird, Transformed Bird, Disguised Bird)
- Birdman, or Bird Person (鳥人)
- Mummy Man (ミイラ男)
- Giant Sea Demon Paidon (大海魔パイドン)
- Pelorigon (ペロリゴン)
- Hyakuningyo (百人形, lit. Hundred Doll), real name Mannequin Yokai (マネキン妖怪)
- Yamabiko Yokai (山彦妖怪, lit. Mountain Boy Yokai, Mountain God Yokai; Yamabiko are a kind of yokai)
- Water Yokai (水妖怪)
- Giant Demon God of Sheba (シバの大魔神; In reference to the biblical Queen of Sheba)
- Three-Eyed Yokai Man (三つ目妖怪人), real name Guardian Deity Volga (守護神ボルガ)
- Witch Doctor Zamba, or Shaman Zamba (呪術師ザンバ)
- Werewolf (狼人間)
- Dokuron (ドクロン; Likely in reference to the Japanese word for "skull," dokuro)
- Necromancer Brahman (妖術師バラモン)
- Toshinusumi (としぬすみ)
- Pinhane (ピンハネ; Likely in reference to the Japanese term pinhane, meaning to take a cut of someone else's money)
- Molgon (モルゴン)
- Black Cat Yokai (黒猫妖怪)
- Yukionna (雪女, lit. Snow Woman; Yukionna are a kind of yokai)
- Emperor Enma (
閻魔 大王) - Blacker (ブラッカー)
- Time Traveling Siblings Lolo and Pitch (未来人兄妹・ロロとピッチ)
- Fossil Man Juratan (化石人ジュラタン)
- Onibaba (鬼婆, lit. Old Devil Woman; Onibaba are a kind of yokai)
- Bakegumo (化けぐも, lit. Transforming Spider, Transformed Spider, Disguised Spider)
- Mantis Hermit (カマキリ仙人; The term 仙人 sennin can mean a mountain man such as a hermit, or a Taoist Xian, which is a kind of enlightened person or wizard)
- Diamond Yokai (ダイヤ妖怪)
